Bluegrass is taking over downtown Chattanooga with the debut of Pickin’ in the Park, a free, one-day, family-friendly outdoor celebration presented by the City of Chattanooga and River City Company. On Saturday, October 24, 10:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m., Miller Park and Miller Plaza will come alive with the sounds of live bluegrass from soon-to-be-announced college bands, Kids on Bluegrass participants, and standout Chattanooga talent. Festivalgoers can explore arts and crafts vendors, enjoy local food offerings, and settle in for a lively community gathering that celebrates the return of bluegrass music’s biggest celebration to Chattanooga. Pickin’ in the Park will also team up with several of the city’s leading arts and family-friendly attractions, bringing even more energy and activity to Miller Park.
In addition to the offerings at Pickin’ in the Park, ticket holders and the public alike are also invited to check out the IBMA World of Bluegrass® Exhibit Hall – the heart of all the action – where business, music, and community come together inside the Chattanooga Convention Center. Public hours are Friday, October 23, and Saturday, October 24, 11:00 – 6:00 p.m. Admission is free.
